--- Quote ---I have a 2 year old cabinet/classic panel/D9200 that I need to sell. Life dictates that I sell one of my most prize possessions. The cabinet is in great condition, and the PC is an Athlon64 3000+ with 512 MB ram. I am looking for $1500 OBO, with pickup near Orange County. I will entertain offers, and you can come play it before you buy it. I will even help load it in your truck. I have pictures available upon request.

A SlickStick cabinet...WITH computer...for the same price asking as the atrocity from Ebay.

Now...can anyone STILL try to defend that guy?  Lew?  Come on.

Oh...and Lew...here are my credentials...

I don't want to be on the side of defending that guy. But I'm not going to participate in making fun of a fellow "cabinet" building. You want to make fun of ultracade? I'm on board with that. At least you've built cabinets and you know whats going on. I was more pissy with the guys on here slamming someone elses work while they've never built anything themselves.

I agree in the fact that if you know whats going on, you wouldn't spend that kind of money on his machine. But, that happens everyday - people overpay all the time.

I've seen cabinets that were just as bad as his (in my opinion) sell at auctions for over $1,500. Maybe thats where he got his idea from.

Awe Lew,  you know it's all in fun.

If they guy came in to BYOC and started asking opinions,  or even made himself known,  I am sure the community would come out and try to help the guy as best as we can.

Ah, but does it count if you converted an existing cab or can we only have an opinion if we build a cab from scratch?

I built one from scratch, but it's a bit smaller than usual. Does that still count?

what you mean is you would actually build a cabinet. not a 2x4 crate covered in cloth.

Well his design to me is like one of those cabs that have a big stand for the control panel and computer to go into with the coin door underneath and about 2-3 ft back is the TV/Arcade Monitor enclosed in its own stand.  It is like one of those style.  I think someone on here has a Blue one like that.  I can't remember who has one built.  Leapin do you have a cap like that?  Someone on here does.  It is blue-ish mabe black.  You guys know the cabs I mean.  Kind of like a HOTD2 or 3 style cab.  Controls in the front and space between the TV and control panel.

I think originally he was going for that look, but maybe he lost interest in finishing it up to the best of his ability.  I stand with Leapin on this matter though.  Don't diss the guy.  You people don't know him show him some love.
