i would try to match orignal nes colors, but i would also try to make it the same color as the cp, and have the "nes gooves" go threw the whole thing (markee and all)

Since you've got carpenters with routers around: Let them rout out that Nintendo logo, put a red see-through plexi behind it and light it up with a TL or something !!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! :)
