Multi Led-Wiz Animation Player - Can you try it please
loadman:
If you have a Ledwiz (preferably more than one) can you try this on your set-up and give me some feedback on performance etc please?
http://www.members.optushome.com.au/backwash/multiwizplayer.zip
NOTE: It uses RandyT's OCX to talk to the Led-Wiz.
If you don't have that installed you can get an installer for that HERE
It uses the same engine that will drive the attract mode on version 2 of the MaLa Led-Wiz Plugin.
I just made this simple App to test it.
LWA Multi-Wiz Player Version: Beta 1a
Loadman 2007
______________________________________
This LWA player plays LWA (LedWiz Animation files).
This format was developed by RandyT from GGG
His LWA animation creator can be downloaded here:
http://www.groovygamegear.com/ledwiz.zip
Use the LumAura Control to create animations.
Unfortunately this does not address multiple Wiz devices
That is why this player was produced as it can play LWA files that send commands
to either:
1) All Detected Led-Wiz .. or
2) A Specific Led-Wiz by addressing it directly by it's ID#
Refer to the other 'Read Me' File for command explanations
The only extra command this player recognizes is "LWZ-NUM:<Device Number>"
A few examples are included (multiwiz)
When the LWZ-NUM command is encountered, the software skips the pause (set by the LWZ-DUR and immediately sends the next command to the device number specified. It will then treat that device as the current device until another LWZ-NUM command is encountered
USAGE:
eg:
"LWZ-NUM:2"
Commands following this line will be sent just to Led-Wiz ID#2
"LWZ-NUM:1"
Commands following this line will be sent just to Led-Wiz ID#1
"LWZ-NUM:0"
Commands following this line will be sent to all detected Led-Wiz
Note:
If no LWZ-NUM commands are given (like in the other old examples included) then the commands sent to all detected Led-Wiz.
Enjoy...

I like the LWZ-NUM command you've added, I might have to add that to my plugin. Currently mine just sends to all detected LEDWiz, but this would be cool if you want animations to only work on one LEDWiz.
BTW I will be able to test this for you probably next week some time if I get my groovy LEDWiz gear by then. Oh and thanks again ;)
I think another command needs to be added called LWZ-WAIT:<duration>. So if you use one of the hardware effects it can pause the script for a while and do it's stuff. It would be good for attract modes where it rotates through a bunch of lwa scripts.
P.S I'm not sure if Randy will be releasing a new ocx any time soon, but the actual levels for the PBA command should actually go up to 49 not 48. 48 is still sending out a PWM and this can cause problems with some devices like relays and other similar devices (like the SlikStik color cycling joystick knobs)

Yes well you are the main reason I rushed this along. I'm using Wiz ID#2 you are buying off me. I will post it to you Monday ;D

I will think about that..? :-\
I personally would not use the hardware effects in an animation as they can be replicated with the animation itself with tighter controlls so all Leds (running off differnet Led-Wzi ID's) sync up. But in any case you could just drop in more duration lines which would effectively 'wait'.
Now we just need someone to make a decent Led-Wiz animation creator as kick as as the MaLa hardware animation editor.. :D
I use MaLa hardware on my cab but I intent using my remaining Led-Wiz on my Jukebox with the RGB Ice Buttons I have. Changing Colours to the muzac sounds cool

Doh! I thought you sent it yesterday when you were off to the post office. Oh well I can wait, I should be getting the buttons early next week.

Forgive me
Attached is a Pic of Led-Wiz #2 saying it's final Good-bye to Led-Wiz #1.
