| How much is a working Galaga worth? |

There is someone on craigslist near me trying to get $800 for a working Galaga machine (not an original). I'm not going to spend nearly that much (I could build a perfect replica for 1/2 that probably) but I'm wondering what a fair counteroffer would be. I'm thinking he is asking about $600 too much... here's the link: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/ele/267917087.html |

In the midwest, I see some in terrible shape selling between 500-700. If he's starting at 800, and you want him in the $200 range... sounds to me like you should just forget about it. Galaga is one of those rare games that I think justifies a price tag like that. |

I don't know if I'd call Galaga "rare" but it is a popular game. For a working one, in good to very good condition I think about $600 is about as high as I would go though... |

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Seriously, it's kind of a subjective thing. Maybe check the prices they've gone for at recent auctions: http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/auction/index.html |
