Joystick conversion mounting plate?

Yeah, not that I'm a big beat 'em up fan but I do find it difficult doing dragon punches consistently with the P360.  I think it's mainly down to the Sanwa/Seimitsu offering more feedback when it hits its diagonals.  Feedback being a combination of the feel of the square gate and also being able to hear the microswitches engaging.

What makes the P360 better than the Sanwa/Seimitsu for shoot 'em ups, I can see the difference for beat 'em ups but for shooters isn't it more just to do with personal preference?

Also what kind of mods are you talking about above with the P360?  :)

Ah righty ho.

So basically you're saying I need to do the following :

Get a couple of MMCP's machined as per below (can't really read the text but MMCP=modified for metal control panel=the far right one in each pic).

Then grab a couple of sanwa balltops which should screw right on there.

Then I need new actuators, 19mm tall, 13.5mm diameter :

Might as well get those machined too?

Once that's all done I'll have a shorter ball top resulting in less effective travel to engagement, and the addition of the actuator will reduce engagement further resulting in a kick-arse stick for shoot 'em ups?

destructor:

First try to change actuator - most important for faster engagement. Next you can change handle.

If you're doing the P360 mod, then this won't matter anymore, but if you decide to pursue the mounting plate thing, there was a tutorial around here where somebody made a nice one cheaply from an electrical junction box cover.
