| Joystick conversion mounting plate? |

Hi. I have a cab here that I've recently fitted a new monitor to, I'm now wanting to change the sticks. Previously I'd fitted a couple of Happ 360s which fitted the existing mounting bolts perfectly. The measurements to the four mounting holes are approx as follows : --- Code: --- O-------------------------O | | | | | 650mm | | | | O---------750mm-----------O --- End code --- Since I play a lot of shooters I'm wanting to remove the Happ's and put in a couple of Seimitsu LS-32's or possibly some Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y's but the problem is the mounting plates uses on these Japanese sticks have a different hole configuration. So ideally what I'm looking for is some sort of mounting plate that will convert one type to another so I can mount the Japnese style sticks in my cab. I've had a look here at the mounting plates about half way down the page and none there seem to do it. http://www.akihabarashop.com/products.html Does anyone know if a mounting plate solution is available anywhere to convert one type to the other or how I could do this? I don't really want to get into modding my current cpanel if possible since it's metal and the mounting bolts are welded on! (pic from before I mounted the Happ's) |

Look topic "Best joystick for SHMUPS". Better modify your P360. I recommend to you don't change P360 to LS-32 ot JLF-Tp-8Y! Modify P360! http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=62735.0 |

What makes this modded P360 so much better than the Sanwa of Seimitsu? I have a HRAP here with a Seimitsu stick in it which I find to be ace for shooters, also the positive clicky feedback means it works really well for beat 'em ups, it feels a lot better than my P360 as it is. I'm not really that up on all this joystick business, the Seimitsu may just feel better because it's using a square gate and the P360 feels like it has a circular one(?). |

The other thing to note is that the Sanwa JLF-Tp-8Y are not particularly short throw. I have one mounted as my 4 way stick. Best Regards, Julian (Fozzy The Bear) |

Modyfing P360 doesn't made shorter throw. It made faster (super fast) engagement. Throw = max joystick travel Engagement = joystick travel to engage move LS-32 with square gate are better (far better) than P360 for beatem'up games, but P360 with circle gate are far better than LS-32 and JLF-TP-8Y for airshooter games. Square gates are better (best) for beatem'ups. |
