Julian,
Is there going to be another group sign up??  I'd like to get in on the next go around if there is one.

I think it's extremely unlikely that there will be another group sign up...... However! it depends on where you're located, to be able to point you to one of the guys who has the drive already. Somebody should be prepared to do a copy for you. If you're reasonably local to me ( I forgot where you are, sorry) then, I'll be happy to do that.

I am on the other side of the pond Fozzy.  Thanks for the offer.  I do know one or two here in the states that would be happy to help me out if I asked. ;)

Since everyone in the group buys had to front a little cash to buy the original artwork files from Mike, maybe it'd be fair if anyone else that wants a copy of the drive donated a similar amount of money to Guru's dumping fund or another community related fund. Just a suggestion.

Actually JoyMonkey, that's not quite the case.... The second group buy did not come from Mike. Mostly because the group size was not large enough and we had an offer from someone else to copy the drive for us at cost only. The total cost each to the members of the second group was only half of the cost which the first group paid.

That said I'd support the suggestion of donation of say $20USD to the ROM Dumping fund.

At the end of the day, it's entirely up to the individuals that now have the drive copies how they wish to further distribute the material. There is no restriction attached to distribution of the material. If someone wants to make copies they are entirely free to do so.

Now that I think of it, since the gallery website is almost totally uploaded and I've still got a good amount of bandwidth to spare, I might open access to the full resolution images on the gallery to anyone that donates a small amount (maybe $10). I'll forward all donations to the dumping fund.

ChadTower:

Make sure you pay your own additional bandwidth costs first.
