does WIncab use version 1 or version 2 tags by default

as i have noticed that some of my tracks have corrupt titles
Ive managed to resolve it by removing the Version1 tags
is there a setting that will only allow certain tag infomation

also seems to throw a wobbly if the track numbers are very high
i have some that were ripped as a collection and ive made a compilation
of 16 tracks but the track numbers range from 1 to 240 with some doubles

i just retag and renumber but wondered if it was a minor bug
