Turning on TV with power strip
needlesmcgirk:
Hey, I tried searching for this and checked the "power everything at once" thread but doesn't seem to be there. What I want to do is power the TV in my cab by turning on the power strip, and not by hitting the TV on switch.
I don't know if this is possible or if only some TVs can do this, but obviously when you turn off the power from a powerstrip, the TV will turn off, but when the power is flipped back on, the TV doesn't come back on, it needs to be switched on with its switch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe I've read here that you can tape the tv's on switch down. I can't seem to find the thread now but I think that would do the trick for you.

That's awesome! I'm going to try that out. Now all I have to do is figure out how to power on the PC the same way, but I'm hoping there's an option in bios that will let me do that. There's got to be a way.

With some TVs this is not possible, even with holding down the power switch (like mine dammit). This is usually something people look for in a new TV for their cabinets (this and the TV's ability to remember the last channel/input when powered back on).
