I rest my case.

Heavy rain and overly slick balls. Proves nothing about what you said.

Oh. Well then, I can say the weather conditions in Chicago affected NO and only NO. Oh wait. Both teams had to suffer through that.
And by golly, BOTH teams had to suffer through the rain.
Once your defense couldn't produce a turnover, they were finished. Look at last year's Bengals (or was that two years ago?) They were serious ball hawks, yet in the big games, unless they could force a few turnovers, they couldn't win.
That kickoff return is really the only thing that makes this game look halfway competitive on paper. Without that, the score is lopsided.
The team was overrated, and went deeper into the playoffs than they could've possibly hoped for. They're fortunate to be in the NFC. And even more fortunate to be in the NFC North. Anywhere in the AFC, they would've been lucky to win 8 games.
I'm curious. What are the newspapers saying about Grossman?

Yes, that is true. The Bears are a turnover defense. They did force turnovers, actually, but the offense would turn the ball RIGHT BACK OVER to the Colts. You can have the world's greatest defense but if your offense is one snap and out then it doesn't make a damn bit of difference. That's not even enough time to breathe on the sideline.
Last year's Bengals were knocked out of the playoffs when one of the Steelers' linemen took a cheap shot at Carson Palmer's knee and destroyed it in the Bengals' first possession. The defense had nothing to do with it.

The Bears also had an impressive touchdown drive that ended with a 4yd TD pass to Muhammad. The Bears lost because they couldn't hang on to the ball on offense. The defense did its part until they wore down because they spent so much time on the field at the end of the half and the beginning of the second half. That's what did the Patriots in, too. Good strategy and execution by the Colts for about 20 straight minutes of game time.

They were 15-4 this season. That makes them substantially better than every other team in the NFC. All that matters in the end is wins and losses and there is rarely a team better than 15-4.

No idea, I don't read them. I'm sure they are crucifying him. They're idiots, too. The guy went 15-4 this year. His backup is a guy that led the NFL in passing and made the Pro Bowl in 2000 yet still drank himself out of his job there. He was once caught stealing a shopping cart to get groceries home after losing his driver's license. He was injured falling drunk down stairs and a second time when he split his head on a teammate's driveway while drunk. Griese couldn't win a job with no competition in Miami in 2003, couldn't stay healthy for the Bucs and got cut for Chris Simms (who is no prize either).
I never understood the outcry to put Griese in... they have a young guy with serious upside on his way to 15-4 and they want to replace him with Brian Griese?
