RESIDENT EVIL 4.....wow!  Anyone who passed on this game, really missed out.  I love, both my classic and next gen games, but this game is something else.

It was on sale at Circuit City a few weeks ago for $10. I Pm'ed to Best Buy for mine.

I am simply amazed at the size of the game. I beat Resident Evil 2 in like 5 hours going straight thru. I just finished Chapter 4-4, and I have over 20 hours in it. I am playing it on a 13" tv, that is the only problem. If I was at my house, it would be on the projector and with surround sound. Man I want to try it out with the surround sound, then those ---daisies--- couldn't steak up behind me.  ;D

I truly Hate and despise First Person Shooters (FPS.)  Other than the allure of playing with your friends, I dont see the appeal of them.  Ive tried them, had some fun killing some friends in some, but after everyone leaves the game for RL stuff (kids, jobs, wife, etc) Im looking for something fun to play.

When I started playing FPS - it was very new and lots of fun. We played multi-player Doom as soon as we could. What helped make it really fun was we would get a bunch of friends together to LAN. Those days, we only had dial-up modems and those of us with an actual AOL account had the internet, but playing on the internet wasn't even a dream. It was Duke Nukem and Quake 2 - we did that for about 6 years.

Trying to play a FPS with a joystick is just awful. Mouse+Keyboard is really where it's at. Since we've played so many FPS and have been doing it for so long - most of us are done.

I like RPGs... but... i wana play my RPGs not watch them...

Ah yes. I agree with you here. RPG's were more challenging back in the day too. I don't know if thats because I was younger or because the answer wasn't a google away, but I remember being stuck on Ultima III for weeks/months. Eventually I would figure it out and move on. When I played FF3 on SNES - it was pretty fun but easy. Going through the motions is all I did. No real challenge. Nowadays - it seems they build in busy work (like leveling your character, tedious tasks, etc.) so they can claim "200 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!"

Well.... this is what lead me back to Arcade games and MAME. I don't have the time, dexterity or motivation to learn the new games. Give me a joystick, a couple buttons and 30 minutes. I'm lucky to have about 5-10 game breaks in a week. 2.5-5 hours of gameplay a week doesn't really let you get into any of the latest games. I can quickly play a game of Galaga, Robotron or Defender and then get on with my life.

I get motion sickness from playing FPS, lol. Of the modern games I do like racing simulation games. I hardly ever buy games though.

If I play a game besides the classics then it would be Subspace Continuum. It's free, 2D and online.
