Printing the templates
« on: January 17, 2007, 08:38:35 pm »
Not having any luck. I open up a template, e.g. the Happ 3" trackball, and any program I use gets the size wrong. I even tried the CD included PSP at 100% scale and it wants to use the entire 8.5x11 page for a ~6.5" wide template. Any suggestions?

Microsoft Paint (the program that comes with windows) will print it to the correct size, and if its larger then a page it will automatically tile it onto multiple pages.

I just trial and errored the % scaling option until I got it right.  I don't remember any more what I ended up using.

Good luck.

I'll try Paint and see if I have better luck. I tried scaling some of them but after several printouts getting it wrong, I decided to quit.

Paint actually worked on some of them. It printed the happ 3" trackball image exact, and the multiple button template. The happ rotary and super joysticks printed too big.

Ah well. Easier at this point just to measure my own templates.
