Wells Gardner D9200
« on: March 27, 2002, 04:46:43 pm »
Hi Folks,

I am trying to decide what monitor to get, and have pretty much narrowed it down to a 22in Computer monitor or a Wells Gardner 27" D9200.  I like the D9200 for a few reasons:

1)  Its a larger screen
2)  It should look more authentic.

Does anyone have screenshots of it in action?  The one worry that I have is that vector games won't look that good given its highest resolution of 640x480.

(I will be running Mame32 and WIndows XP with this setup, but it will be a standalone Mame machine).

TIA!

Matt

Goto www.bcsmo.com/butler2001.htm for pictures of the WG D9200 in action.  Your wrong about the resolution also, I have been running windows 98se and XP at 800x600x16bit for over a year now.  The D9200 rocks, its the kings of monitors for a Cab.

Hi Rodney!

Thanks for the information!  The cabinet looks great, as does the monitor.  If you go to Wells-Gardner's website, it says that the highest resolution support is 640x480... Do you think its a misprint?

Also, how to vector games look on the monitor?

Thanks in advance!

Matt

I play Space Duel and Tempest alot, I think they look great.  The monitor without question supports 800x600x16bit I dont care what their website says.  I wish you the best of luck whichever way you go with your cabinet.  The D9200 was the best decision I ever made, oh and by the way, DVD movies look awesome on it too.
