actually I tracked many of my rebates that weren't sent... they'd get approved and never arrive... I'd call the 800 numbers and get the run around....and of course tiger Direct had a disclaimer that they weren't responsible for the rebate offers, yet they advertised the stuff at the rebate price....
I'd say they got me for close to $100 total....
so reading wasn't the issue...

Like I said, most of their rebates are manufactures rebates.

I just realized that this offer comes with a AUTOMATIC charge to your credit card of $69.99 if you don't cancel the trial of the internet security suite within 30 days. UGGGHHH I didn't know that when I ordered and probably wouldn't have known to cancel the trial and would have been screwed out of 70 bucks!
I don't think that it's right AT ALL for a retailer to automatically charge your CC for this. It's a sneaky and deceptive business practice. I used to have no problem with tigerdirect, but I won't buy from them again!!!
I ordered this on friday night, and canceled the order today.
I hope that I don't end up with issues from this....

Where do you see this ? I don't see it anywhere. I check again today and look at the terms and condition and did not mentioned as such.

It's in the first paragraph on the product information tab.
I appreciate you pointing this out Rick. I plan on calling up and canceling as soon as I get the number off the box.
Thenasty:
thnx.... when product arrives, I will also call and cancel.
Thanks for the heads up on this.
I'm not even gonna use this proggie, I will just throw it out.

No they weren't. Sorry, but they weren't.
Back a few years ago, when TigerDirect was getting into this trouble, it was THEIR rebates. Manufacturer rebates are obviously out of their hands, and not their problem. There were TD rebates that caused problems, which is a main reason they no longer handle their rebates themselves.
It was not lack of reading the fine print, or people being unable to properly fill out rebate forms. There were MANY people who did everything right and still got shafted.
