I have found that Episode 1 Racer is pretty unstable on newer operating systems. Or maybe it is just my 2 computers?

Using Win 98 though it is my favorite PC game to put on a cabinet.

Have you tried setting the compatibility mode in WinXP/2k for PodRacer?  Just right-click on the shortcut and click compatibility.  Then play around with the drop-down.  I find that Win98 / WinMe works...

Yeah, I have to do that just to get it to run, it works, but will get stuck in mid race and lock up the whole system.

Looks like a fun one.  Hard to find PC games that don't make use of the mouse.
