My 61" DLP TV was just pwned by a Wii Controller.

:hissy:  :censored:  :badmood: :banghead: :lame:

My 13 year old daughter's friend was playing Wii tennis and the (pre-recall) strap broke.  The controller flew into the screen and cracked it.   My kids aren't very aggressive so I didn't think we'd have an issue. What an ASS I am.

If you got your kids a Wii for Christmas, learn from my mistake - get the replacemement straps NOW, and don't let your kids play the 'swinging' games until you do.  (If you like your TV, that is.)

Anyone ever replaced a Samsung screen before?  Seems the part itself is a few hundred bucks, but I don't want to pay labor if I don't have to.  Seems like it should be easy.

Dangit.    :timebomb:

edit, added pic.

Wow, she has a nice throwing arm for a 13 year old girl  ;D

Here's the recall link as a public service.  :)

---steaming pile of meadow muffin---... that sucks :( :(  I'm guessing you don't have any extended warranty?

Sorry man. I guess there's one good thing about only having a 20" TV in my dorm room to play the Wii on...
missioncontrol:
