Last year I was frantically trying to get my cab finished for our yearly XMas party but alas it was not finished in time. I was at the stage of painting so I couldn't really fast track it. It was still a "conversation peice" but noone could play it. It was really annoying.

This year the XMas party is not at my house :( heh Maybe another year. I'm just wondering who is having an XMas party this year and will bring out their cab? Anyone done this before and what is the response?

My family comes to my house for x-mas so it works out great.  I didn't have my MAME cabinet then and I just bought a millipede cabinet.  So everything is working in proper order.  I just wanna get some new barrings for the millipede and 2 15 inch bulbs for both.

Not a Christmas party but...

The last two years my oldest son has had his birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese and then an arcade.  I asked him where he wanted his party this year and he said, "our house."  I've got 11 arcade machines here now and the party was a tremendous success.  The funniest part for me was watching three 9-year-old girls play Soul Calibur on my Dreamcast cab for an hour straight.  They got the biggest kick out of knocking the crap out of each other.

Great :) My cab is based on Soul Calibur theme :P

Chankast still runs SC pretty good ;)

I have about 25-30 people over for christmas including about 10 kids.  The gameroom is definately the focal point of the day.  My house turns into a mini chuck e cheese.  I expect that it will mostly be used for guitar hero and karaoke this year as I have a playstation 2 hooked up to a tv wonder card now.  But it definately makes the party!  I am the "coolest" uncle.  The slot machine and pinball also get more than abused during christmas.

The nice thing is, that this is the first year that the cab actually is finished software wise.  There is more I can do but what is on there works flawlessly.
