I'm placing an order today for a Dell monitor and there is a $30 difference between a new one and a refurbed one ($219 v. $189). Is there any reason why I shouldn't go with the refurb? This will be for arcade use only. Thanks! |

refurbs usually only have a 30 or 90 day manufacturers warranty. A new one gets you at least a year. |

My experience with things like monitors..... If it gets ya to 30 days you probably won't have any problems for what would be considered a normal lifetime of the product. |

I love refurbs ive purchased a few sony vaio refurb laptops in the past a refurb dell monitor and a refurb dell axim and a few other things a refurb apple ipod. all of them are still running like the day i took em out of the box. I have no complaints on a refub product. Neil |

I've never had problems with refurbished products. Frequently they are only returns that the original customer didn't want anyway. Plus refurbished stuff is ususally checked over by a person instead of coming straight off the assembly line. |
