Wiki changes not saving
« on: December 14, 2006, 12:11:25 pm »
I've been trying to make some changes, but they're not taking.

On the MaLa page, I wanted to add some links to a couple of forum posts about setting up MaLa (here and here). I logged in as usual, entered the following changes under the existing homepage link...
Code: [Select]
==Additional Info==

*[http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=56010.0 MaLa "How to" guide (install and configure emulators, plus Visual Pinball)] (BYOAC Forum Link)
*[http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=57516.msg566089#msg566089 MaLa LED Attract Mode How To] (BYOAC Forum Link)

But when I hit Save it keeps telling me:
Quote
Edit conflict: MaLa
Someone else has changed this page since you started editing it. The upper text area contains the page text as it currently exists. Your changes are shown in the lower text area. You will have to merge your changes into the existing text. Only the text in the upper text area will be saved when you press "Save page".

I've tried this several times and I keep getting the same error.

Any ideas?

Then do what it says. :) In the differences, just put the same thing, and it should go away.

Nope. Still not working.
It's as if it thinks someone is constantly editing that page, so I keep getting the 'Edit Conflict' message.

I just made a change to the Joysticks page, but the MaLa page still won't let me edit it.  ???

Yep, there was somme error (got a php error there).

But I got able to move it to a another url (Mala instead of MalA). Seen to work now, but I do not know it would work, if I switch it back to normal url.

Now the php error is gone here. So try again to update it.

Hmmm.. now I've got the same problem with the Spinners page

I wanted to change the TurboTwist description to...
Quote
The successor to their original TurboTwist, the TurboTwist 2 is relatively new to the market but still making waves. The most instantly striking feature of this spinner is its very small footprint; it is designed to fit a standard 1 1/8" pushbutton hole and occupies little more space inside the control panel. Like the SlikStik Tornado, the TurboTwist 2 also has dual ball-bearing design. The TurboTwist 2 has an extra-high resolution encoder wheel, and comes with it's own USB or PS/2 Opti-Wiz interface. The interface can be configured to put the spinner on the X, Y, or Z mouse axis, and will control other optic devices on the remaining two axes, such as a trackball, or additional spinners/steering wheels/optical rotary joysticks. Several optional extras are also available for the TUrboTwist 2, such as a novel mini steering-wheel and a heavy 'energy storage cylinder'.

But I keep getting the "Edit conflict: Spinners" error.

 :banghead:

I also wanted to add some info on Ultimarc's SpinTrak and include a photo of each one.

Edit: I moved the 'Spinners' topic to 'Spinners and Dials' and now everything is editing fine. Weird.  ???

Joy, sorry about the problem. I'll take a look when I get a chance.
