| Oil over Latex primer? |
| (1/1) |
| arzoo:
I painted my control panel (completed prior to the cab) with a satin black oil based paint - no primer was used. For the cabinet, I decided to use an oil based primer, but when I went to Home Depot, the paint guy there advised that I use a latex primer. I specifically told him that the top coat would be oil. After doing some web research, I now see that latex over oil is not recommended. The primer is a product made by Glidden called "Grabber" - the can does not provide any info on this issue. Problem is, I've already used the black oil base on the cp, so switching to a black latex could be difficult to match the color. Any advise on this? |
