On one hand, I'd hate to give someone $7000 for something they don't own the rights to but loosing access to some of the stuff that they have would downright suck!

If there is any sort of group purchase like Fozzy suggested I'm in for at least $25.

At that rate we'd only need 280 people.
Bobbler:
Well, I would too be quite happy to stump up some money to save the artwork availability from going to oblivion. I dont really need the artwork for my project but the fact that I always like to give back to the community of a forum where I have MASSES of information from people who have already trodden the path would make me happy.

The art should be saved for anyone to have access to regardless of if they put up some dough or not IMO.

Not sure how you we are gonna get $7k but you can put me down as a definite donatee.

[SNIP] The cpo was not the greatest scan but still passable. The marquee however was a really bad scan. I'm going to replace it.

So how are you disagreeing with me.... You disagree that their stuff was rubbish and then tell me that you're so dissatisfied with your Marquee that you're going to replace it.

In actual fact... if you read what I said again, you'll find I said that: Their printed stuff was rubbish anyway.(which is my personal opinion having had a large amount of artwork arrive that was very badly printed and with the wrong colours)

I also said: Their files, when they did offer them individually were way over priced as well. To be honest this is no huge loss. (meaning it's no huge loss that we're not being over charged for a few digital files on a CD)

It is a loss to the community that we don't have access to those files, and that's why I think we could organise a group purchase. But it needs somebody with more time than I have available to do that.

Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

P.S.

Absolutely it should.....

what i was saying was that some of there stuff was great quality and some was not. Thats why i said i somewhat  disagree. :)
More Cowbell:
I'm disappointed mainly because it was such an easy way to get artwork for my cabs. Click a few links, drop in the measurements, and hope for the best. I was very happy with some of their stuff and pretty unhappy with some. The stuff I was unhappy with was mainly due to their shipping since they just crammed their cpo's into some makeshift frankenstein box taped together from 4 boxes. They replaced it though so I ended up happy, it just took them 2 tries to get me there. We've gotta talk them down off of that $7k, that's ridiculous for stuff they don't own the rights to.
