They are still offering files..... Just that they want you to purchase the whole set at $7000 USD.

Their printed stuff was rubbish anyway. Their files, when they did offer them individually were way over priced as well. To be honest this is no huge loss.

Perhaps we should organise a fund for a group purchase of their full set, and then host the whole lot somewhere so that everybody can use them. The fact is that they don't own the copyright to the material and they were always trading on the edge of illegallity anyway.

I wonder how many of those $7000 sets they've been able to sell. I wonder if they'd take a serious offer of $500. That would be easier to come up with. It's not a lot of money by comparison, but it's doable by this community. It's not like they have the licenses to legally redistribute that stuff, anyways (at least not that I'm aware of). It's not like they have any work to do, either. They could either make $500 for doing nothing or simply not make the $500.

Of course, buying the set and hosting it could put them out of business.  What are they gonna do to stop someone? It's not like they have the legal right to it in the first placce.

Fozzy, I would have to disagree with you somewhat on this. I bought all the art work for my robocop machine from them. The side art looked great as did the bezel.

The cpo was not the greatest scan but still passable. The marquee however was a really bad scan. I'm going to replace it.
I also got data east art from them which also looked great.

I would say it is a pretty big loss considering they were the only place offering original art that is long out of production. New old stock is good but it's getting harder to find

Alan, They pretty much are out of business at this point. I would give them a month or two before they close it down. there not going to make a fortune selling there book and flyer dvds. And i cant imagine theres to many people dumb enough to pay 7K  for there scan set. Of course you never know theres allot of nuts with more money than brains out there.

It is a huge loss for anyone wanting to have art recreated for an original game that isn't totally mainstream. I went with a Sky Soldiers theme for my vertical cab because I didn't want it to look like a MAME cab. I used NOS side art, but planned on getting the marquee from Classicarcadegrafix.

I've heard a lot of both good and bad about them, but they did offer something nobody else has.
