| Did highscore.dat change between v.103 & v.110? |

| Dazz:
Hey Guys, I've been running MAME v.103 for a long while and just recently went to v.110. Did something change with the highscore.dat file between those versions? My old highscore.dat seems to be dropping new scores (on highscore tables), but old highscores still remain. The latests highscore.dat file that I've seen is v1.05, but my woman would kill me if I lost all of her highscores by replacing my older file. :( Any suggestions? Thanks! |
| FrizzleFried:
Highscore.dat support was dropped at version .107u1. It was causing more problems than not so they are now ONLY using SAVESTATES. Right now only a couple hundred games support savestates... If you want HIGHSCORE.DAT support, you MUST go back to version .107....the first beta release after that drops it. |

Or... Recompile the current version yourself to include it. MKChamp puts out a diff file to add hiscore support back in. If the last one he posted doesn't work with the current version, he is more than happy to post a newer one: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=60487.msg598304#msg598304 |

I've tried and tried to understand how to recompile mame. Is there a recompiled 110 version out there already that contains highscore? If not are there any files that i could copy paste over any in my mame dir? |

I just compiled 111 with the hiscore diff. Do you have somewhere I can upload it? The dir is around 35MB... |
