OK...Friday, for no apparent reason...I was banned from the MAMEWORLD forums. I now get the usual UBB BANNED screen every time I visit.

I have emailed twisty...I have clicked on the CONTACT button and filled out the email...

All I really want to know is "WHY". Sure...i'd love to be allowed back...but more importantly, I want to know WHY i was banned. I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what in the hell I could have done there to cause a banning...

SO...if you are "at one" with any of the mods there...can you do be a favor and drop them a line asking WHY in the hell FrizzleFried is banned...and for how long.

Bah...I am not complaining...just trying to get to the bottom of it. If I was talking ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, or something then I could understand why...but I truly have NO CLUE as to why I got banned...and I think it may be a mistake or something.

I'm almost certain it's a mistake, or someone hates you. But other than that I can't think of anything.

...nothing. I still don't have any idea why I was banned. I did manage to get ahold of Mr. Do via email, who promised to look in to things...though I have yet to hear back from him.

...sigh...

This is getting to be some real "F'in" "BS"....

...no less than 3 different moderators at MW know of my plight...yet I STILL DON'T KNOW WHY IN THE "F" I AM BANNED from the damn boards. Noone has returned a single email. (edit: Actually...Mr. Do! replied he would look in to things...2 days ago....nothing since...but at least he replied!)

If this "BS" doesn't get resolved soon I am just going to take on another identity over there so I can download the MAMEWAH files I need and the rest of em can kiss off...

...I figured I have been a contributing member over there...an asset to the board...but evidently SOMEONE over there doesn't see it that way...but what really pisses me off more than anything is that no one there has had the class to even email me with the reason for my being "S"-canned. ...why not just kick me in the nuts while I am down?

This BS saga continues. I STILL have no idea why I am banned from MAMEWORLD forums. I have asked no less than 5 moderators...I have had 2 tell me they would look in to things...and 3 others completely silent....

...thus far...NOTHING. This is BS of the highest order. Can SOMEONE friggin' tell me why in the hell I am banned?

Welp...I oftentimes download bezel artwork for my PC MAME rig...I download MAMEWAH updates...I get quite a bit of advice about my monitors from Italie, the mod of the Arcade Hardware forum...and other things. Right now I am frustrated cuz I have a number of questions I would like to ask Italie...and....well...i just want to know WHY???!!!

I still have no idea what I did and no one seems willing to step up to the plate and say. Seriously...I have not posted anything "risque" at all...

I was once banned for a month from an online game because some mod apparently thought that I was cheating (firing without losing power). I wasn't cheating and in fact noone complained when I was playing (which is quite unlikely with such an obvious cheat), but it could not get the ban lifted. Actually I got only one response (that someone would look into it).

Guess in the online world you are just depending on the mood of the moderators and that they don't make mistakes. Sometimes you have more luck than other times.

Welp...now when I type in "mameworld.info" or click on any link that goes to mameworld.info, it redirects me to GOOGLE.COM!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have verified this with 2 PC's and a MAC....running XP and OS9.... using Internet Explorer, Firefox, and old school Mozilla on the OS9 box....and this is my HOME IP!

Only explanatiion I have: Someone with an axe to grind has somehow banned my IP to the point it now redirects me! (is this possible?) I can't even friggin' read the forums anonymously now!!?!?!!!

I told John about this post.

He said no one has been banned/blocked recently.

John thinks your mom or dad might have installed a child lock program on your computer.
MAMEWORLD isn't concerned with being affiliated with safe for kids software, so that program could be blocking you.
