Ok, since it looks like I'm going to ditch trying to fix this monitor, I need to get rid of the repair kits that I just bought from Bob Roberts and another from eBay. I bought the one from eBay first for $39 thinking it would work with my chassis. When I got it, my tech friend said the new flyback wasn't the same as the old one. Then I bought another kit from Bob Roberts for $34 (includes shipping). Same story. Since I still can't log in to the forums to post this in the Buy/Sell/Trade section, I'll have to post it here. Brand new as I received them and never used. So, is anyone interested in taking these off my hands for $26 each? The price already includes the $6 or so I'll be paying to send it priority mail via the USPS. |

After reviewing the pictures, you surely have a K4900 series monitor. Gotta love the fried char on your flyback. I'm going to have to do a bit of research. There's got to be a source of flybacks *somewhere* for these beasties. I don't have one here (all mine are at the shop) so can someone post the number of a K4900 flyback? |

Peale, Thanks for the info! If you do find a place to get parts for this monitor, I would greatly appreciate it! Are the cap kits from these G07 repair kits that I have compatible with my chassis? If not, you know of any place I can get rid of these G07 repair kits? |

Caps are caps; pretty much if you find a matching cap value on your board you can use it. How many you'll find, since cap kits are tailored to a specific monitor, I can't say. I can post them in B/S/T if you PM me your contact info. |
