Up to this point, I have been using Mamewah.  In that FE, you can literally spin the trackball fast and the game list would fly (read: move very fast) through the list of games.

Yes that was me! I am surprised you remember. I did get it to work, but like you said it wasn't all that use-able. I have since been trying DOS on those old computers but I'm about to give up on them. I do have several comps in the 5-900mhz range that I was asking about tho, and now I am definitely going to use your FE! It's by far the best on the "market" in my opinion. And these docs only improve it.   ;D

Ok, i checked.  Here is how to proceed.

To increase the sensitivity of your trackball move the "spinner/Trackball/mouse" sensitivity slide to the LEFT.
That won't change the speed of the gamelist scrolling but i changes the moment of the move detection. Said , if you rotate the trackball with an angle of 10° it will be considered as a "move" , if you change that parameter you can make it detect an angle of 5° .  I don't know if i'm reallty clear here...  :-[  In fact it is a kind of "reaction" time.

Then to speed up the scrolling in the list.
-check "advanced options" check box on the "general tab"
-go on the "Advanced Tab"
-go on the Atomic <0.15 tab  (even if you are using Atomic 0.18 or more)
-Decrease the "key repeat delay"  , put as exemple 10  instead of 100.

Save and close.  And it should be really faster.

By combining both parameters you should be able to set the trackball behavoir as you want.
But i'm not sure it will be as good as MameWah.

I have to improve that kind of setting because it is not so obvious...  :-[

I hope it helps.

I just dug into this one, and it appears that you can just delete the <executable name>.lang file and re-run the application. On the next run, it will prompt for language, and should set it properly. However, this is on a fully working setup. I have run across times when a re-install was necessary. I'll update the documentation on the next revision to add this.
