Black Friday sales for MAME builders

At BestBuy, they go down the line as you're waiting outside with tickets for the rare/limited items. First in line, first serve. Once you have your ticket they're guaranteed to give it to you, so you can mad dash to the other things you want first. There are hiccups sometimes, but that's the general principle. One year they ran out of the hard drive I had a ticket for, so they upgraded me to a larger drive for the same price.

Nice.  Is there a limit to how many of an item or how many different items for which you can get tickets?

It's way worth it to us. We save literally hundreds of dollars on Christmas presents by spending one long day shopping. Like Saint mentioned, it's a tailgate type of atmosphere since everyone is excited about deals and in the same late night/early morning mentality. We take it as a challenge to get as many great deals as possible. Plus I get to throw in all of the fun gadgets and stuff for me.
There's a great deal at Curcuit City on a portable GPS unit for $149 that I'm lining up for bright and early (or dark and early).
ChadTower:

Worth it is relative, though... here it is usually well below freezing on that day.  That skews the scale a bit compared to other places where you're just sitting on the sidewalk.

We're in Chicago so it gets pretty cold. That's what coats, scarves, gloves, hats, coffee, and hot toddies are for.
