By going to the arcade :)

Heh, hence the "at home" part. ;)
And I disagree about Donkey Kong also. I can easily remember when a friend called to tell me they had DK for his Atari. All the commercials said it was coming out for Colecovision first. Got off the phone, ran over to his house and was amazed that he had it. It was, and probably still is, fun to play regardless of the number of levels and graphics.

There were other Pac games released on the 2600. Ms Pac-Man and Pac-Man Jr. These were far superior to Pac-Man in many ways, including color choices, sprites, music. Pretty much the 2600 version of Pac-Man was rushed out just so they could say 'here it is, buy me.'

Command & Conquer: Renegade for the PC absolutely sucked. It was like a bad car accident.

The multiplayer in that game was awesome though....well, assuming you found a server that wasn't laggy and players who knew how to play the game. I was in the multiplayer beta test for that game and that was one of my favorite games until it was released, at which point I was no longer playing on the developers dedicated server or against players who understood how to play the game. A coordinated flame tank rush was a thing of beauty.
