For those of you living in the twin cities area, this Friday night is the opening for a month long video game art exhibit at the Altered Esthetics gallery in North Minneapolis. http://www.alteredesthetics.com/level13 My MAMEified Galaga cocktail machine will be there, and it would be great to meet up with some other BYOAC members there. I am going to try and be there on Friday. I'll be wearing a black xbox live shirt. Since I am not that familiar with the twin cities area (I'm a Rochester native) I should have a fun time trying to find this art place. Does the show cost any money? Thanks for posting I had no idea anything like this went on in the twin cities. Usually these things are in Chicago or some other far away land. |

Hmm, I might have to swing in there. |

The gallery (like all cool galleries) is located in an old warehouse in a manufacturing district. I'll be on the lookout for you. This gallery (I'm not affiliated with them, just a rabid fan of the type of shows they do) is really very progressive and underground and hip and cool. The show that just came down a week ago was called "the art of horror" and had all kinds of horror themed photos, paintings and sculptures. (spooky stuff is another interest of mine, so 2 shows in a row that are right up my alley-how can I not be a rabid fan?) -jeff! |
