No shutdown or reboot options in Mala 1.0RCB ?

Ok, but theres was no change concernig the exit functions in MaLa since nearly 2 years now. So I don't know what he means by 'get rid of'. Maybe he found a bug but then I need a better description of what's going wrong or is missing here.

I've just started using MaLa, so I'm not real familiar with all its features, but when I hit the Player 1/2 start button combo on my cab, I also only get the option to quit, not that Exit Menu. Is that what the original post refers to?

I have my PC bios set to shut down Windows when power button is hit, so I have just been exiting MaLa and doing that.

Just throwing that info out there.

You can open the 'MaLa Menu' with Player 2 start button (key '2') only by default. Then scroll down and you will find the exit menu from the picture above. The small exit window is just one additional option to quit/shutdown MaLa in a more direct way without opening the menu window. In the options dialog you can choose the action: quit or shutdown.

You have to have either one or the other and its a hassle to have to right click, change the options etc if you have it set to shutdown and you want to go to desktop or visa versa.
I know the programs free etc but that really bugs me, I think I'll stick with my old version

I have it set on my cab so if i hit player 1+2 I will get the option to shutdown which I can confirm by hitting player 1 or cancel by hitting player 1+2 again. You choose to have it set up this way in options dialog as Swindus said

If I want to quit then I will need my mouse anyway to use windows, so I right click to select quit

Yeah that's what I'm missing when I press the escape key, I either get the quit screen or shutdown logo depending on what I have set.

I'm trying out the latest version on my laptop before I put it on my cab so maybe I've messed it up somewhere.
Please don't take my words as a criticism of your program, its great and its all I've ever used it just seemed strange to change the menu, if its still there then great and I'll try and find out what I've done wrong.

That menu is in the standard layout, does the new space invaders layout also have the same menu option?
