Actually I've just moved down here in the last month... so if you have any tips for suppliers etc it would be very much appreciated. Anyhow it may be of interest.... Bumper Action Amusements is having an auction this sunday @ 12pm. Their on City Rd, South Melbourne. I don't have a clue what they may be auctioning but i thought that i would throw it out there and it may be of interest. -Alex |

From my experience... http://www.zax.com.au only really deals with companies, not individuals... but if you ring up sounding like you know a bit of what you are talking about, he will deal with you... he is expensive for PCBs and generally, only has second hand parts... no new. Bumper is a little better as they target the home market. Again, not cheap, but does have some good stuff. Parts wise, not sure what he has to offer. I purchased a cocktail cabinet from them about 4 - 5 years ago... great nick... couldn't resist... they are a bit shonky with customer service from my experiences. www.240.com.au is probably the best I've dealed with. Deal more with pinballs, but he also import cabinets. Prices are quite fair. Plus they also deal with the home based customer. Dont stock much new arcade parts though. |

OMG.... just went and checked out bumpers site... Seems the auction list will be published Friday. Anyway, just checked the price of some of his goods. The cocktail/table top I got many years ago was actually a bargin compared to current price he's selling similar machines for. I pay $650 for a 20" Hankin. He has a similar cabinet running galaga going for $1,750. Ouch! They also have a stand up wonderboy unit now selling for $2200... and they quote "All time favorite and very hard to find. This game will entertain everyone. Classic platform theme with great visuals and challenges to complete." What a laugh... he sold me the PCB for and extra $50 with the cocktail. Anyway, will probably have a sticky beak myself and attend the auction this saturday. |
