I think you have a LONG time before you need to worry too much about it. I just looked up Conroe motherboards at Newegg and ALL 29 of them have a PS/2 keyboard port.
Now maybe if you are looking at laptops or SFF PC's or Micro ATX boards or if some OEM PC company was really trying to shave costs . . . but for now, you would have to go out of your way to NOT get a PS/2 keyboard port.
Now, maybe in five years they will be uncommon, (like Serial, Parallel, or AGP slots now), but they will probably still be available, if I am pretty sure if they start becoming scarce, RandyT will put out a USB version of the KeyWiz and if you're shelling out for a new mobo and processor, you can come up with $30 for a new USB KeyWiz (after it's released).

Yeah after reading your article and post on the matter Im just going to stick with the ps2, seems alot simpler. Ive noticed when I use to work at best buy in the geek squad alot of the newer machines did not have ps2 ports. I dont think I have to worry as I've built my last two machines, just more curious on the issue.
Thanks for the responses.
