Keywiz eco question

I was curious about something.  This device is PS2, is there a convertor or cable that would convert it so it would work with USB?  I'm pretty sure there are ps2 to usb converters, but I was sure if there was one that would work properly with this intereface.

I think it depends on the adapter.  Do you not have a PS2 input on your cabinet computer?

If not then I will buy and send you an ipac or GPwiz.  Let me know.

I have one, that is ps/2 only. I wouldn't recommend a converter, as most cut off multiple keypresses or a held down button - which would really suck trying to use as an arcade control.

If you must use USB, I would go with a GPwiz - I have a couple of those as well, and they work great. The only drawback with that is that you may need Joy2Key to work properly with front ends. (Some require keyboard commands for some of the more advanced functions)

As others have said, it can be done but is not recommended.  A better option would be to use the KeyWiz as PS/2 and get a USB keyboard.

See http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=35840.0 for some testing I did in MAME with a similar adapter.

Tim, I was just curious for future use.  I have a ps2 port on my motherboard now, but I know alot of newer pcs aren't including them.
