looks really good! I have a suggestion, if the black buttons next to your start buttons are for coining up, super glue a quarter on top. Its what I did when I built a MAME cab for a co-worker, theres a link in my sig, NeoMAME , if you wanna take a look
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

As for as play it doesn't bother me, But when designing art around the angle it makes things very difficult to get lined up.

Here you go, that reminds me, I should submit this to the examples page!

I'm amazed at how you managed to fit all of those controls onto one CP and make it look so tidy. I love the graphic design on this. Very impressive!

My contribution to the thread:

Nice!  This is pretty much what I am going for, but maybe not as big.  What are the dimensions on the top of this?

First post.  Just wanted to thank everyone for all the great ideas and posts.  Many good ideas and tips.

Wanted to post pics of my Mobile Arcade.  Soon to be future plans, install a pc inside the arcade panel and have two cables coming out, power and HDMI.  Going for a mobile arcade in a box.  Anyway, forgive the sloppy wiring at this point, just testing, waiting on my USB LED board from ultimarc.  HUGE props to my neighbor that is a finish carpenter.  Hand drew and designed from scratch, the guy is a genius with the wood working tools, could not have done this without him.   :notworthy:

Lemme know if you have any questions, always happy to help!

The Beast's panels. >:D

The blanks.

Pre-wiring.

Wired.

Installed. Off.

Whole cab in Hyperspin.

MK3 layout.

NeoGeo layout.

TMNT showing all player controls.

Dungeons & Dragons.

Donkey Kong.

For any game having a 'white' start button, I have changed it to LEDBlinky's 'black' which makes the button light up grey-ish. 'Black' is also my default color for games not defined in colors.ini.

Really like your control panel- might take inspiration from it for my own :)  :applaud:

Well thought out, nice them.. good work!

My first message on this board, although I've been reading for years and gathering help from all your work...thanks for the inspiration.

Here's mine...with a Defender theme - although I have no Defender button placements - I played mostly Atari 2600 which was way simpler...

Three Ms Pacman Reunions (a mistake I my part, maybe, thinking they had a different feel than the Happs Super 8-ways) I converted the base of two with a round 8-way plate.

Happs Blue Glow Trackball - still gotta wire the 'glow' up, but I'm afraid I'll burn out my power supply with the coin door lights already sucking out juice...

Turbo Twist Spinner- Nice!

Two Act Labs Arcade Guns - I drilled out two buttons so wiring can enter smoothly into the cabinet...the holsters are Home Depot "U" bolts that need to be painted black but I'm afraid they are too smooth and end up looking like crap.

Special thanks to Kneivel (spelling?) Wow!

This is exactly what I am looking to build. I have tried pming the user but with no luck. Does anyone have a diagram for a 4 player with track ball or even just the cp dimensions that they could send me?

On a side note, what are the 7th buttons on players 1 and 2 for as well as the 4th buttons on players 3 and 4?

How big is it?

Nice use of the stick next to the spinner- does that play OK?

Figured I should put my pedestal CP up here....  I have a 15" monitor mounted in the CP for display of button configurations using CPWizard.  It can also be used to play on, in case the big tv (a 40" mounted on the wall) is in use.

I've been planning out a defender cab with a 4 player console added on for a while now. I designed it so that when the 4 player module was attached, it would blend in with the original original defender control panel but would accommodate the extra controllers such as the spinners and trackball. At first I thought it was way too much, but the severity of it is starting to grow on me and I think I'm going to keep it as the final design.

Was this control panel ever developed. Just Wondering how functional is the defender layout since its so high up on the panel! But the art work is Amazing great job!!! :applaud:
