8-bit zombie is done, it's final resting place is my basement and due to low light these are the best pictures I could come up with. Enjoy!

Wow I like the graphics !!

My first (and currently only) control panel build.  Loosely based on the Tron arcade panel.
First picture is the inspirational photo.
Next is the cad drawing I made.
Wood routing and inlay, followed by final assembly.

I like the idea, but that woodgrain is just depressing...

Here are a few pics of my plexi tabletop controller.

That is pretty cool... I am sure there would be some who would have loved to see a build thread! Do you have a wide shot of the control panel???

Hi,

Not sure if I can post this here,
because it's not exactly an arcade control panel,
but here is the pinball controller I've made :

Do you have a template of your stick/button layout? I like this set up.

At the moment, it's a bit of ply with the buttons and controller. I hacked it up just to make sure the hardware / software all worked together. Haven't decided on the final layout yet, either.

I'm struggling with MAME on Raspberry Pi, and once I have that sorted, I'll start a more respectable console. Probably just a box to set on my lap with a power cord and an HDMI output for the TV.

Happ Perfect 360 Joysticks
Ultimarc GoldLeaf pushbuttons
Ultimarc 3" UTrak Trackball
SlikStik Tornado Spinner
IPac2

Some AMAZING control panels here!!!!

Not sure if I ever posted the control panel from my ARTIFACT Game Museum cab... Here we go!

Thanks to all in the community who helped me back in the day in 2007 when I was planning and building it.
I miss it..... Maybe I should build another project.......

What are the dimensions of your CPs?  I will be using almost the same exact controls and layout.  Looking to fit mine on a 23"x13" panel, but not sure if it will fit.  Both of yours look close, though.

(two players, 6 buttons each, trackball, spinner, and some admin/coin/start buttons)

My Dream Machine CP is 26" x 15". But it has a bit of an overhang on the edges. Actual interior dimension would be like 24" wide. Hope this helps.

Hi, I recently joined the forum because after years of hassitation I finally started building my own bar top arcade.
It started after a friend of mine wanted to build his own arcade and asked me if I would help him with it.
To get him started we bought a cheap 2nd hand cabinet. He then bought a flat pack that we are currently assembling.

I didnít want to go the pre-build route and started to build the cabinet myself.
I started with the control panel so I can alter the dimensions of the cabinet so it will fit the control panel perfect.
Also, now I can play without having the cabinet fully build. Since that will take a while.
I used a 1mm sheet of aluminum that I bend building my own bending bench from some wood and hinges.
This was because I accidentally ordered snap in buttons.
Used 15 mm mdf to support the alloy.

You definitely don't have enough buttons on that thing.
