Control Panel Database: Post a picture of your Control Panel!
DaOld Man:
Im sure you are correct about the ide gauge, I honestly never researched it.
The ide cable works great on my CP, it has been in much much use for going on two years now. I think the ide cable is fine for a control panel, but I would not use it where any movement would be placed on the wires, such as going across a hinged or removable panel.
I could see where the wire could eventually break if subjected to a lot of movement.
I used 18 gauge between the ide wire and the coin door switches. (Used a terminal strip to connect the two types of wire.)
Tiger-Heli:
I didn't mean to imply the IDE cable was too thin to work properly, it just is a pain crimping disconnects onto 28-32 gauge as opposed to 22-24 gauge.

How did you create that control panel? It looks like poured and not actually acrylic panels? Sweet work. Just curious how you created that!!!

Yes, it is a pain to crimp. But I solder my wires to the switches. I suppose you could solder the small wire to the crimp connector?

Hey thanks for the compliments guys! That is actually just regular plexiglass. Used some windex on it and took the pictures. Pictures came out very nice.
For those of you that are interested you can get more information about my machine here:

And I have posted the .pdf file for my drilling template in the following thread:

Scroll near the middle of the thread to find the link for download.
Hopefully that helps others!
Thanks again!
