The controls are set in the tempered glass. To avoid too many holes in the glass, the joysticks (servostiks) are mounted on a base. Features touch controls for P1 P2 and coin buttons. Turns out its not a good idea having them between the buttons like I did as you can sometimes set one of them off while button mashing :lol I put them there because the CRT was affecting the touch controls sometimes due to the magnetic field. If I used an LCD (which I regret not doing) then they would have been up the side of the bezel, far far away from the buttons! Talking of buttons, there is a minimum distance between holes in tempered glass. Mine ended up a bit bigger than needed which meant the already not ideal spacing was even further apart. If I had to do it again, I'd get them to use imperial sizing (was in millmetres) and that should get the switches just that much closer together.

That is pretty snazzy. Did you drill the glass and then have it tempered?

Glass guys did that. CNC I think. Then tempered. There is a price per hole which meant the holes added up to costing more than the glass!

I can imagine it wasn't cheap. It turned out nice.

I have drilled lots of holes in glass. It can be an adventure. Especially drilling aquariums. You only get one chance.
