I've been hanging around for a little while now and in the interest of sharing ideas, i thought i'd post some pics of my soon to be finished(hopefully) cab. Its based on Lusid's designs with a few slight modifications. Its made entirely from 3/4" MDF since there's no 5/8" available that i can find. I still need to paint it and add the t-molding, marquee, and monitor glass, but for the most part its just about done. I may redo the control panel in the near future as well. I think i'm going to do away with some administrative buttons. The cab is nothing groundbreaking, but i'm happy with it so far. There are a few things i'll do differently next time, but i don't think its bad for my first serious attempt at woodworking. The second to last picture is almost the current state of it. The monitor bezel is just sitting there in the pic, its no mounted so thats why its crooked. Since that picture i installed the marquee light and filled in over the screws. For the most part though, that pic reflects the current state. Let me know what you think. -Kevin |
