Not according to that fragment up there. :)

I missed the first two episodes of each of those shows, but started watching both.  I was watching Vanished, but have a feeling that'll be axed, plus they supposedly killed off the lead investigator, and I kinda thought he fit the role.  So I started on Heroes.

Watching 1 vs 100 right now on NBC.  I love the premise.  14 or so people of 63 didn't know what Steve Carrell yelled as he got waxed in 40 Year Old Virgin.

--- Quote --- Another new show thats pretty good is Shark, which is surprising because I don't like most lawyer shows.

No lawyer show can beat the entertainment value of Boston Legal. :D

I watched the first episode of Vanished and thought it sucked.  The good news about the show Heroes is that they've already decided to finish the season, which means it won't get cancelled half way through like so many other shows I enjoy.

And Shmokes, were you going to say something about the show Carnivale?  That was a good (although disturbing) show, too bad it only went a couple seasons.

boykster:
I've been watching Heroes and am intrigued, but am going to jump ship as soon as it becomes a soap opera, and I have a bad feeling it's only an episode or two away from that stage.  I don't want it to happen, but  :dunno

I really liked Carnivale for the first season or so, but got way too abstract and wierd after a while.

shmokes:
Yeah.  Discovered Carnivale after it had already been axed after the 2nd season, when I saw a preview for it at the beginning of a Six Feet Under DVD.  It looked great so I ordered the first season on Netflix.  It's easily one of the best shows ever, but I can see why it would get axed.  It's serialized and every episode is extremely important.  If you just sat down and watched a random episode well into the first season or anywhere in the second season you would be completely lost.  But I really recommend picking it up on DVD.

I also had a friend loan me seasons 1 & 2 of Arrested Development recently.  Holy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---!.  Funniest show since Seinfeld hands down.  If you have even the remotest interest in smiling and laughing you absolutely need to start watching this show.  I've heard that season 3 isn't nearly as good, but can't vouch for that.

I just told my wife that we should look at renting/buying Arrested Development.  Will definitely have to give it a try.

We've been watching The Nine - pretty good so far.  And just happened to catch 1 vs. 100 the other night - very good concept that will play well for a nighttime primetime game show.  Jericho = snoozeville for us also.
