I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I have used the Fraggal boot disc to se up my dos-based cab computer and I am having a hell of a time trying to upgrade to newer versions of ADVMame. The disc includes ADVMame 0.62, and I can upgrade a version or two beyond that, but can not get any of the newer versions to work. Can anyone give me a helping hand with this? What is the newest version of ADVMame you are using with ArcadeOS 2.52? Thanks, James |

Is no one using this setup anymore? |

Sory I can't actually help I have been using a disc called Darren's Setup Cd......... It is a little diferent as it is not setup to run on an arcade monitor (well i dont think it is) and ther are none of the video config options at startup. otherwise it seems exactly the same. There is a update mame option but Im not sure how to do it. i would like to know how exactly it is done. How have you done it with fraggle? i know you are stuck but at least you know your stuck. |

Basicaly I am just copying the newer versions of AdvanceMAME into the mame directory and then running the ADVCGG.exe program to make sure the config is right for that version of mame. When I go back into ArcadeOS and try to run a game I get error messages. |

Okay, I ran Advancemame from a command prompt and the error I am getting is (for 1943) Error parsing event database for 1942b So ADVmame isn't even working from the command prompt So.....I need to fix that problem first. I have googled and searched, but came up dry. |
