Opening Turtles Cabinet

just a thought, but did you look at the top of the glass to see if there is something in there? I'm converting the remains of an otl TMNT cabinet, and it looks like the glass slid up to pull the bottom out.. dunno just a thought like I said.

@ushido_cedar I had also been thinking in that direction, as it doesn't seem plausible to me that you'd have to really take apart everything below just for taking the glass out. It already slides up a little bit. Just not enough.
I already removed the marquee and slid the board with the lightbulb as far up as the wires let me, but that doesn't seem to be in the way of the glass sliding up..

Any idea what could have been the thing that prevented the glass from sliding up with your cabinet?

@ everyone I also have 2 more questions about the pcb, but I don't want to overload you all with questions. Should I just ask them now or wait until this is resolved first?

Looking at the inside of my cabinet, i'm not sure if there was a bracket that held it or not, I cant see any holes like there would have been one.. good luck though!
TMNTfan:
Well Guys,

I'm still clueless..

meanwhile, I made some pictures that may tell you something, I made it into a gallery on my webspace, maybe that'll help?

The pictures are quite big (I did that on purpose for the detail) but you can scroll up, down and sideways..

In the gallery I also pose a couple of other questions with pictures.

-The cab doesn't remember scores, so the battery must be dead, but I don't see a battery or where it should go?

-There also seems to be an extra board with dip switches which really mess es up my credit settings (I get additional lives now instead of more credits per coin. Is there a way to bypass that extra board or does anyone know settings to this board?

Thanks to all people who already tried to help me!

TMNTfan.

A clear picture of the glass front would be helpful.
