which games are they? |
| NightGod:
I would start by upgrading Mamewah from .97. It's up to 1.62b12 or so now, and there have been significant changes made to get things working right with MAME 1.07+ |

First make sure they run OK from MAME, before trying to execute them in MAMEWAH. I'm in agreement with the last post - Move to a much newer version of MAMEWAH. Not sure if it will make much difference with this problem, but I initially tried 0.97 thinking that the setup tool would be great and make things easy. I found it was just another component in the setup process to create conflicts and mess up what I tried to do. I think the biggest problem between MAME and front-ends is that the front-ends are built around a specific version of MAME (MAMEWAH in particular) It makes for a better-looking front-end, but means that any version mis-matches cause unexpected errors. The key to troubleshootong compatibility problems is to check first that your emulator runs it perfectly on it's own, then have a look around the 'config' and 'ini' files of both the emulator and MAMEWAH to make sure things tie up. As for your question regarding resolution settings location; in MAMEWAH it is in the 'default.ini' (I think). In MAME I'm not sure. Just read EVERYTHING you can in the configs of both and you may see a difference. |

I got all the games to work, and I have no idea how I did it. Very weird. |
