Mounting PC monitor
Stingray:
After I decased mine I found that the same tabs that were used to hold the plastic case on worked perfectly for mounting it in my cab. I didn't even need to modify the slot at all, it just dropped right in. Now and then you get lucky.

It scared me opening the monitor up too, I'm not sure if it was the damage I could cause or blowing myself up in the process ;D
Mine was a pig to open, I had to slide it forward to get to the bolts but it all turned out well in the end.
Here's how I managed to secure mine, probably overkill but this suckers not moving anywhere :laugh2:

Stingray:
The good news is that you could drop your cab off a ten story building and the monitor would survive the fall completely unharmed. ;D

I used parts from door knob assemblys and metal things to hang stuff on the wall to hold my 19" svga.

I just got a 19" PC monitor to replace the 21" one that's in my cocktail (with the bezel, the 21" is a waste IMO) and I have the exact same issue. The PCB was made to be supported by attaching to parts of the case (actually attaching to BOTH parts of the case)
I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I think I'm going to start off by cutting away parts of the plastic casing, leaving the monitor and PCB attached to other parts. All I know is that it's going to suck. If you take pics of your custom mount as you make it, I may just follow directly in your footsteps, crashwg.
