Mounting PC monitor
madk:
Hey strangers,
Long time no see. I'm looking for some good pics of examples of mouting a pc monitor. I just picked up a 21" monitor to finish off my cab and I am having touble getting it seated in the cab securely.
I know many have done this and would appreciate some help/pics.
Thanks guys!

If you are not decasing it you can try strapping it down on a shelf and wedging some strategically placed 2x4 braces lengthwise across the inside of the cab. Probably one across the back of the monitor to keep it from going backward, and one along the top to keep it from going up. Then one along the bottom in the front (maybe something smaller than a 2x4) to keep it from going forward.
I did mine a little different, but if you want to tinker a bit or just need inspiration check out these pics.
EDIT: fixed link

Thanks for the link/pics. It did provide some inspiration. My last cab I used a 27" tv and just sat it on a shelf. With this new one I'm using a 21" PC monitor and trying to mount it vertically. I just want to make sure the thing is secured as it weighs about as much as the cab itself ha.

If you decase the monitor there should be metal tabs on the corner of the tube. I bought some pre drilled metal strips (used for repairing concrete I believe) and used them to mount my 22" NEC.. Here is a crappy pic - I apologize for the quality:

This is what I want to do..but I am afraid to take the case off!
