You guys are taking this all to literally. You do realize that when you cancel an auction you have to choice from a list of checkboxes why your cancelling an auction. Lost or broken is probably the most often selected. Maybe the guy is full of it, maybe he's not. He didn't break any ebay auction rules. I do agree its dirty to pull an auction because your not going to get enough for it. Unless one of you was the high bidder I don't really see why your all crying. If you were high bidder you'd have a legit complaint. Was anyone here the high bidder? Its also dirty to bid on an auction and cancell your bid. Thats often done to find out what the reserve is. Personally I don't think it should be allowed. I'm pretty sure there are limits on how many times you can cancel an auction or your bids. Oh yeah and I don't like reserve auctions. Those make me mad. I say to the sellers quit wasting my time and yours, start the auction at the reserve. I don't know why they ever invented reserve auctions. Well actually I do know why, but I don't like them. |

Also, I had planned on bidding on this item once it got closer to the end(as I am sure alot of people would have done). The thing that is rotten about all this is he responded to everyones email(including mine, what a waste of MY time) and fronted like he HAD the machines on hand and was ready to let them go for whatever they sold for as a marketing trial. They were SUPPOSED to be brand new. He is breaking EBAY rules by pulling the auction early because this is not the correct reason to pull his auction. No one can prove it though(unless someone took him up on his offer to inspect them before he cancelled). |

Other (hopefully not true) possiblity: he's crooked and was planning to steal the cabs and launder them through ebay. But the real owner came by and picked up cabs "too early" (before the aution was over). Thus he "lost" the cabs. :-\ *shrug* At least somebody(s) didn't pay for one and not get it. |

Or, just as likely, someone locally came around and paid cash for them. I've seen auctions pulled before where the seller has made a deal outside of eBay. Ben |

I think he NEVER HAD THEM!! He did say in his email that he was "testing" for a demand. He probably wanted to see how high he would get for them, and if it was more than what he had to pay he would THEN buy them and ship them out to people. I am certain this guys sucks. :o |
