Please for the love of god tell me what KHZ my monitor is!
Panzer:
sorry there boss. Didn't mean to sound rude. I just bought it and its sitting at my new house waiting for me to move in and work on it. Its a present to me for my new game room. The NFL Blitz game was not working in the cabinet but when powered on and then off the monitor did flash a bit. So i'm not positive it works but figured that any activity was somewhat a good sign.
I have been reviewing these boards and read contradicting information on this cab. Some people say they have converted this cabinet no problem, others say it is a 25khz monitor though.
Brain is going to explode!

o.k i see your problem now,its best to prove the monitor is fine first-do you have access to a multimeter as i suspect you have a bad psu-also always good to post a pic of the chassis as we can tell what it is,another way to prove the monitor is operating is to turn up the screen volts on the flyback transformer to see if you get a white screen, although this does not prove 100 percent that the monitor is functioning perfectly at least it points toward psu or game board or signal problem
CheffoJeffo:
Blitz runs in either 15 or 25.
Yor prior posts indicated that it was a Blitz cabinet, which I guess a bunch of us assumed meant original cabinet with a 25kHz monitor. If it is a conversion (important piece of info), then all bets are off and I would tend to think that it is a Std Res (15kHz) monitor.
Take a good, clear pic of the chassis (the circuit boards on the monitor) and post it in the Monitor forum. I'll bet it gets ID'd pretty darned quickly.
Cheers

Thanks for the help guys, I will be back over at the house tomorrow and will take a pic and post it. You guys are great! My previous post i did not realize it was a conversion. (my bad)
Just out of curiosity was MK2 a 15khz game or a 25khz game anyway?

No big deal ... 99% of the time it wouldn't have affected the answer ... you just hit the magic 1%.
AFAIK MKII was Std Res (15kHz), so you should be good to MAME (but let's wait to ID your monitor first).
Cheers
