I like the shading of the water along with the ripples by the base of the monolith. The contrast between the color of the characters & text jumps out at out you.

Nice work!

Thanks Smack.

I actually got the monolith/water image by going to google and clicking on the images tab.  I then did a search for "monolith"

This is a great way to get photos or other images to work with.

If you have a light behind the marquee, making the text white could make it come up a bit more radiant.

Damn, I never knew that centipede was so damn ugly.  ;)

Okay, now I've seen that ostrich knight thing around a lot lately. Just what the hell is it from?

I dropped everything: Initial tests indicate all systems go!

The style of it reminds me of the C64. Not bad, not bad. Wont be my favorite, but not bad.

I hear that pteradactyl aint so unbeatable:

Rasher,

If I'm unhappy with the results of this marquee, I may reprint it with a white font.  I'll give it a shot.  Kinkos prints for about $15/foot, so it won't be too much of a waste to print a second one.

You never know. When backlit, the red on that dark background might come up a treat and give it a nice sinister look, especially in a darkened room. Oooh.  :o

OK, in case anyone is looking for printing options, there is a place here in town (Charlottesville, VA) that does printing.  They can also take mail in orders etc.  They offer all kinds of printing options on a very wide array of materials.

So, if you're interested, it's High Tech Signs, INC.  Their number is 434-974-7900.  Press 1 for sales and then speak with someone in digital printing.  Expect about a 3 to 5 day turn around.  He said my marquee would cost about $40 to print at 720 dpi.  But you can go upwards of 1440 (he claims)

Just letting you know.

Nice work man. I like it how you went all old school with it. I think it looks really good. The background is a little too dark for my taste though because yuou have characters that are light so you can't really tell the background but that's just my 2 cents. What ever floats your boat man. Thanx.
