Happ Perfect 360 and ground wiring problem

Hi all, I'm upgrading my Happ supers to Happ Perfect 360's and I've come across a wiring problem. When I only have the joystick for P1 wired up the cabinet plays fine (but with only one player). Then when I connect up the 5v/ground terminals to the P2 joystick the P1 joystick is always stuck in one direction. if i disconnect that direction wire then it will get stuck in anotehr direction, so basically when I connection P2 joystick all directions of P1 are always on.

The 5v to the Happ 360's are taken from a pc molex connector. Ground is also taken from the molex but I've also tried with taking it from the cabinet using a spare ground line off the buttons, no difference.

Could someone who understands jamma wiring explain what I'm doing wrong here.

Thanks guys!
Adrian

ps. Think this is one of my first real posts :) My cabinet is a Metal Magnum, its a fully metal cabinet with a 26" monitor. Bloody heavy but solid when playing those fighting games.

As long as you're sure you've got the correct line for the 5v supply (the red one,) and the grounds (either black) and you have all the directions wired up correctly on both sticks, it doesn't seem to be the stick's problem, especially if you can swap them for each other, and both work fine while being the only one connected.  (Can you?  Maybe something's up with that second stick?  Hook it up as P1 if you haven't yet.)

It's not just one of...it IS your first.   ;)

Check with Happ themselves if you don't get a better answer than mine anytime soon.  Which someone will probably give within the next 48 hours.

Yep, I've taken the correct 5v line (red one) form the pc molex. Does the ground connection have to be daisy chained thorugh out all of the buttons and the joystick? Will it make a difference if I take ground from the molex or from the original ground connections form the Happ Super joysticks?

I'll try swapping the connections tomorrow, if anyone else has an idea let me know.

Cheers.

Do you have separate 5V for each joystick?

Chiefy:

I take two separate 5v leads from one pc molex connector. That should still provide 5v to each joystick right?
