Keywiz/IPac : which SOFTWARE is the more practical ?

Between the Keywiz and IPac, I have difficulties to guess which is the best..when you speak of SOFTWARE:
the more practical and easy...

Both of them have software that programs them. Functionally they are similar. I would say most people don't use this software because in most cases the default key configuration works well. Both applications have a nice GUI interface. Both of them can be run from a command line to program the interface on the fly. One nice feature of the keywiz software is the on screen keyboard, so you can create key configurations without dragging out a keyboard.

I haven't used either - I have a Hagstrom KE72, which probably has the most UNintuitive programming method. That said though, once it's set, you never really need to use it again. I guess my point is that I certainly wouldn't let this be a major deciding factor with my choice of encoder (unless you DO see yourself programming and reprogramming it a lot).

I can only tell you about the KeyWiz, but for a newbie it was quite simple for me to set up. I just wish Randy would finish setting up the website :)
