Super Auctions Atlanta -w- MYX Report
MYX:
Here you can see the 800ft truck and our winnings. check out the Virtua fighter. Marquee was inside the cab in near mint condition. The side art asside from the roll on one side and a couple of scrapes on the other was beautiful.

MYX,
If you get a chance, can you take a picture of the glass retainer on that Virtua Fighter cabinet.
Ive been converting an old beat up Virtua Fighter 2 that is in the same cabinet and there is a cutout in a support piece of wood that I think something goes into hold the bottom of the glass, but I am not quite sure how it works as I am missing that piece.

LOL. :tool:
Instead of CrapMAME, someone needs to make a similar site called CrapConversions.

Wow.
Thanks for the write up.
Now I really can hardly wait for the next one.
Very cool.

A couple of things I will add, is that it was hot. I mean really hot. Were talkin africa hot here. This warehouse had no air conditioning. It did have a couple of fans that if you were standing directly in front of it felt pretty good. I had a cooler of drinks thinking I was over dueing it. Man I went through the whole lot and still had to buy some from the vendor there.
Also, prices were sky high. I saw stuff going for rediculous prices. We were talking about it and we are not sure why. A couple of factors were 3 people that were buying lots of stuff. guy 1 was opening a game room and wanted to have lots of stuff. Another guy was building a gameroom in his house. (Must be a big room). And the last guy which was the worst of em bought at lease 20 or 30 things and he did not care what he paid for a lot of them. He just kept bidding and bidding. He also drove up the prices of a lot of other peoples games. there were mutterings all day about that guy.
the last is something I learned this time. If you choose not to use the auction moving service, and care about your games and you are going to load them your self... 1. loading 7 games and a pinball machine and a coin changer onto a truck in 100 degree sun not only sux, but takes a long time. 2. Big games are heavy. 3. The bigger the game the heavier it is going to be. 4. If you want a big game, it will weigh more than a smaller game. 5. Gravity sux. 6. I DO NOT like hot. 7. The farther you have to carry a game (especially a big game) the heavier it will become over a given distance. 8. The guy at the door, making sure that you have to put down that heavy game, ruining any momentum you might have achieved, is there only make sure that you have to put down that heavy game, ruining any momentum you might have achieved, not to make sure you are not stealing anything. Who in their right mind would steal a 20 ton Virtua Fighter game.
